Solid Body Butter - It's Thyme - Thyme, Black Cumin and Murumuru

IT'S THYME contains only the finest natural oils for the skin and is free from artificial moisturizers (petroleum derivatives) and fragrances.

To moisturize, hydrate, and soften the skin, we use black cumin seed oil, murumuru butter, and coconut oil triglycerides. Organic black cumin seed oil (Nigella Sativa) is rich in antioxidants, linoleic acid (vitamin F), and thymoquinone, a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compound. It helps alleviate skin discomfort, keeping it hydrated and supple.

Exotic murumuru butter is a rich emollient and moisturizer that helps improve skin elasticity, soothe, and retain moisture. It is extracted from the seeds of the Astrocaryum murumuru tree, native to the Amazon throughout Brazil and Peru. Murumuru seeds are abundant in vitamins, as well as myristic, oleic, and lauric acids. Since murumuru butter is obtained from fallen murumuru palm seeds, it provides a livelihood for communities in the region and promotes the conservation of these palms. Our murumuru butter is ethically sourced certified (UEBT).

Coconut triglycerides deeply moisturize and nourish the skin. They naturally contain a large amount of nutrients and antioxidants for the skin. While triglycerides provide a silky touch and nutritive benefits to the skin, murumuru, along with shea and cocoa butters, creates a barrier that seals in hydration for lasting effects.

The essential oils used in IT'S THYME body butter have anti-inflammatory, soothing, and antioxidant properties. Thyme essential oil contains thymol and borneol, known for their powerful antiseptic effect. It is one of the most potent essential oils, and even in low concentrations, it improves the skin's condition and provides antibacterial benefits. Thyme blends with patchouli, cedarwood, pink grapefruit, and lemon to provide superior antioxidant effects, as well as a relaxing herbal aroma.
